Bestandele:
36 gestoomde mossels (in dop)
1 ui, opgekap
1 huise knoffel, gekap
3 eetl botter
3 eetl pietersielie, gekap
½ koppie droë wit wyn (die res van die bottel kan jy maar drink)
1 koppie water
1½ koppies melk
1 koppie coconut melk
3½ eetl koekmeelblom
1 blokkie hoenderaftreksel
swart peper, vars gemaal
knippie oreganum
1 lourierblaar
botter vir soteer
Metode:
Soteer knoffel en pietersielie in botter tot die ui deurskynend is.
Roer meel en verkrummelde blokkie hoenderaftreksel by.
Verwyder van plaat en roer melk stadig by.
Roer water en coconut melk en wyn by.
Plaas terug op plaat en roer tot sop glad en dik is.
Proe en geur.
Bedek en laat 10 minute prut (om die meel gaar te maak)
Voeg nou die mossels in hul skulp by. Verwarm deur.
Skep in en skep ‘n eetlepel room oor elke bord sop.
Bedien met lekker tuisgebakte brood en plaasbotter.

Knypie rooipeper
Sny die spekswoerd af en snipper in repies.
Skil die uie en kap fyn.
Mikrogolf die spek en ui 7 minute in 'n diep bak met kleefplasteik bedek by HOOG [100%].
Roer die soppoeier by die spekmengsel.
Voeg die kookwater by en meng.
Bedek en mikrogolf dit 10 minute op HOOG [100%]
Verpulp die botterbone saam met die vloeistof waarin dit ingemaak is.
Roer dit by die sop, bedek en mikrogolf weer vir 5 minute op HOOG [100%]
Geur die sop met die sout en rooipeper.
Sit vuurwarm voor met lekker stukkie brood of 'n bun.
FISH SOUP: Tasty & very Easy

(Serves 4)
1 x 420g can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 x 420g can Cream of Tomato soup
2 cans of milk or 1 can of milk and 1 can of cream (use empty soup can)
2 x 100g cans tuna
1 x tin of smoked mussels (optional)
15 ml tawny Port or Sherry
Mix all ingredients and pour into the Medium Bowl.
Microwave for 5 – 7 minutes, or until done. HIGH.
Must bring to boil.
Serve with fresh bread.

Indien dik sop verkies word, verminder die vloeistof, bv. 250 ml melk en 250 ml room / water.
Metode
Dreineer die mossels indien verkies, andersins druk net die mossels in die olie fyn. Meng al die bestanddele in ‘n bak en kook op hoë hitte vir 8 tot 10 minute in die mikrogolfoond.;-)
TOMATO SOUP:

Ripe tomato : 4
Onion : 2
Butter : 1 tbsp
Maida : 1 tsp
Salt : as needed
Pepper powder : as needed
Milk : 2 cups
Cut tomato into pieces.
Cut onion finely.
Set microwave to high power.
Mix onion butter maida in a vessel and keep it for 2 minutes.
Add tomato and salt.
keep it for 4-6 minutes.
Let it cool. Blend it in a mixie. Add milk
Set microwave to medium power and keep it for 3-5 minutes until done.
Take 2 slices of bread smear butter on both sides.
Toast bread on a grill for 2 - 3 minutes.
Cut the bread into cubes and add to soup before serving.
CHICKEN CURRY SOUP:

For 4 servings:
■1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
■1 Tbs. water
■1 boneless skinless chicken breast half, cut into 1/4 inch dice
■4 cups chicken stock
■2 ounces linguine
■2 tsp. curry powder
■1-2/3 cups canned unsweetened coconut milk
■2 Tbs. fresh cilantro
Spread coconut on a microwave safe plate, sprinkle with water and stir to moisten. Microwave 4 minutes on high, uncovered, stirring once, or until lightly golden. Set aside. Combine chicken and stock in a bowl. Cover and microwave 7-8 minutes on high, or until boiling. Add linguine, curry powder and salt to taste. Cover and microwave 8-10 minutes on high, or until pasta is al dente. Stir in coconut milk. Cover and microwave 1-2 minutes on high, or until heated through. Serve sprinkled with toasted coconut and cilantro.
This recipe serves 4 people. Due to the nature of this recipe, it adjusts the number of servings in multiples of 4 only.
CORN & POTATO CHOWDER:

This chowder will satisfy the heartiest of appetites. Serve with slices of fresh bread.
2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes (about 2 cups)
6 slices bacon, chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup fi nely chopped celery
2 cups chicken broth
1 can (14-3/4 oz.) cream style corn
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup milk or cream (optional)
Shredded cheddar cheese for serving optional).
Combine potatoes, bacon, onion and celery in 2-quart microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave on HIGH, 4-6 minutes or until onion is softened and bacon fat is melted.
Drain bacon drippings.
Stir in chicken broth.
Microwave on HIGH, 10-12 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender; stir once after 5 minutes.
Add cream style corn, salt and pepper.
Microwave on power Level 4, 10-12 minutes.
Stir in milk, if desired, during last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
Ladle into bowls.
Top with shredded cheese, if desired.
Makes about 6 cups.

Stir hot mixtures during microwaving every few minutes to heat evenly.

Voeg al die bestanddele in ‘n 3 lt bak, maar net 6 kop water.
Bedek en mikrogolf op hoog vir 40 – 45 minute totdat ertjies sag is.
ROER ten minste 3 keer gedurende gaar maak tyd.
Om sop dunner te maak voeg die orige koppies water by.
Jy kan ook 'n lekker Hollandserookwors daarin sny.
CTEAMY COCONUT CHICKEN SOUP:

1 420gm can cream of chicken soup
1 420gm can coconut milk
1 22gm packet Singapore style soft noodles
1 TBS coriander
1 TBS Soya sauce
Combine the chicken soup and the coconut milk.
Heat in a saucepan over a moderate heat or in the microwave on high for about 5 minutes.
Add the noodles and heat for a further 2 minutes-until noodles separate.
Add soya sauce and coriander and serve.
Serves 2 as a main meal.
* Another variation is to use a tin of cream of pumpkin soup instead of the chicken, and a TBS of chilli sauce and a TBS of fish sauce instead of the soya sauce.
MICROWAVE FRENCH ONION SOUP:
3 med. onions, thin sliced
3 tbsp. butter
2 (10 oz.) can beef consomme
1 1/2 cans water
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup. Swiss cheese
French bread
In 3-quart covered casserole, onion and butter on high 5 minutes.
Stir, high for additional 5 minutes.
Add broth, water, salt and pepper.
Cover, high for 20 minutes.
Add thick toasted French bread and shredded Swiss cheese.
Microwave 1 minute per serving.
Serves 4.

3 slices bacon
1 (8 oz.) can minced clams
1 1/2 c. cubed potatoes
1/3 c. chopped onion
1 med. carrot, sliced
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
1 c. light cream
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme
Cook bacon on high for 4 minutes. Remove bacon. Add clam juice to bacon drippings, put clams aside.
Add potatoes, carrot and onion to bacon drippings and clam juice. Cover and cook on high for 8 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add flour to vegetables; mix well. Slowly add milk to vegetables; mix well. Cook on high uncovered for 4 minutes. Add cream, salt, pepper, thyme, clams and crumbled bacon. Cook on high for 4 minutes.

About This Recipe
"Almost a mini-version of the "soup in a jar" recipes you see everywhere. However, this is for individual servings that just take a few minutes in the microwave instead of an hour on the stove! I made these for Christmas for everyone (including myself). I keep them in my drawer at work to warm up when I don't have time for lunch. They're also great for students in a dorm with nothing but a microwave, dieters trying to limit portion sizes, or quick and easy things for kids to make themselves. Just put them into ziploc bags and seal. You can make as many or as few as you want. I find it easist to set out 8-10 ziplocs and just add each ingredient to the individual bags instead of making them one at a time."
Ingredients
1/3 cup instant potato flakes
1/4 cup powdered coffee creamer
2 teaspoons parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon chicken gravy
3/4 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon Mrs. Dash seasoning mix ( or other salt-free seasoning)
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon Butter Buds (optional)
pepper ( to taste)
1 cup water
Directions
1.Mix all dry ingredients in a ziploc bag.

EGGS AND BACON VEGGIE SOUP:
For speed in preparation, buy cleaned spinach, or use 1 cup chopped parsley.
4 slices bacon
1 medium-size carrot, peeled if desired, thinly sliced diagonally
1 small onion, chopped
1 small turnip, peeled and diced
1 small (about 1/4 lb.) potato, peeled and diced
1 teaspoon dry basil leaves
1-3/4 cups regular-strength chichen broth
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) low-sodium stewed tomatoes
2 cups cleaned, lightly packed spinach leaves, cut in silvers
4 large eggs
Place bacon in a single layer on 6 layers of paper towels.
Cover with 2 paper towels.
Cook at full power (100 percent) in a microwave oven until bacon is brown and crisp, 3 to 4 minutes.
Crumble bacon and set aside.
In a deep 2- to 2-1/2-quart nonmetal container, stir carrot, onion, turnip, potato, basil, and broth.
Cover with lid or plstic wrap and cook at full power until carrot is barely tender to bite, 7 to 9 minutes.
Stir in tomatoes and spinach.
Gently crack eggs into soup, spacing them evenly. Carefully prick each yolk with the tines of a fork.

2 preie, in dun skywe gesny en goed afgespoel

60g botter
2 botterskorsies, geskil en in dobbelsteentjies gesny

Mikrogolf preie en ui in botter in groot bak vir 6 minute op HOOG.
Voeg die ander bestanddele by en meng goed.

Meng in 'n voedselverwerker tot die verlangde tekstuur.
Voeg knoffelgrasuie by.
Verhit 3 - 4 minute op 50% krag.

SPINASIE EN LENSIESOP:
1 ui gekap
1 prei in skywe gesny
1 groot aartappel, geskil en in blokkies gesny
750ml warm groente-aftreksel
500g rooilensies, gewas en gedreineer
200g spinasie, gewas en stingels verwyder
sout en peper na smaak
Mikrogolf die ui, prei en aartappel in groot bak met 30ml van aftreksel vir 5 minute op HOOG bedek.
Voeg die lensies en die res van die aftreksel by.
Rol die spinasieblare in stywe rolletjies en sny fyn.
Voeg spinasie en geurmiddels by die mengsel.
Bedek en mikrogolf vir 15 minute op HOOG.
Lewer 6 porsies.
BUTTERNUTSOP:
50 ml botter of margarien
5ml kerriepoeier
2 gekapte uie
50 ml koekmeel
'n knippie neutmuskaat
500g butternut
700 ml kookwater
2 blokkies hoender aftreksel
250ml warm melk
5ml sout
125ml room (opsioneel)
Mikrogolf die botter en kerrie vir 1 minuut op 100% krag sonder deksel. Voeg die uie by en meng goed. Mikrogolf vir 5 minute op 100% krag sonder 'n deksel.
Voeg die butternut by en mikrogolf op 100% krag vir 10 minute met deksel. Maak die butternut fyn en voeg die neutmuskaat en koekmeel by.
Maak die hoender aftreksel aan met kookwater en voeg die melk by.
Voeg die hoender aftreksel mengsel by die butternut en mikrogolf vir 'n verdere 15 minute op 100% krag met deksel. Voeg die sout by en die room net voor opdiening.

EASY MEXICAN CHEESE SOUP: [ARGILLA]
30 ml butter or margarine
75 ml chives, chopped
1 carlic clove, crushed (optional)
30 ml green or red pepper, finely chopped
75 ml tomato, peeled, chopped
60 ml cake flour
pinch ground cumin
pinch white pepper
5 ml chicken extract powder or half of a
chicken stock cube
500 ml milk, heated
250 ml warm water
250 ml Cheddar cheese, grated salt & black
pepper to taste
Microwave butter, chives, garlic, pepper and tomato in Gourmet Deep Roaster Bowl for 2 minutes. Add flour, cumin, white pepper and extract powder, mix well. Add milk and water, whisk through. Microwave for 4 minutes on high or until soup starts boiling. Stir though, microwave for another 3 minutes. Add grated cheese, microwave for 2 minutes on medium, stirring after 1 minute. Spoon into Soup Mugs, serve immediatly.
EASY FISH CHOWDER (DELICIOUS!!!): [argilla]
(serves 6)
200g bacon, diced
2 onions, finely chopped
2 celery stalks, thinly sliced
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 round tbsp plain flour
500ml milk, hot
350g potatoes, peeled, cut into 1cm chunks
375ml Fish stock
100g canned corn kernels, drained
500g boneless white fish, cut into bite-size chunks
24 mussels, scrubbed, debearded (optional) or 1 tin Smoked Mussels (optional)
150ml thick cream
2 tbsp flat-leaf parsley, chopped, to garnish
Instructions
Put the bacon in the X/L Roaster Bowl and microwave for 5 minutes on High. Add onion and microwave for 5 minutes or until tender. Add celery and garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes till tender. Add potatoes and microwave for 8 – 10 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Add flour, cook for 1 minute. Stir in the hot milk and fish stock cook for 5 – 10 minutes. Add corn and fish mix and cook for a 5 minutes or until fish is opaque. When using mussels, add during the last 2 minutes of cooking time. Add cream, season with salt and pepper, stir and serve in the Gourmet Soup Bowls. Garish with parsley and serve with fresh bread rolls.
If prepared in the oven:
Microwave the Bacon for 5 minutes. Add onion and microwave for 5 minutes on High or until tender. Add the celery and garlic and Microwave for 1-2 minutes till tender. Mix all remaining ingredients and cook for 60 minutes at 180°C.

VEGETABLE CHOWDER:
60 g butter or margarine
2 large carrots, chopped
2 large celery sticks, chopped

1 medium potato ( about 175g), peeled and chopped
1 bay leaf
1/ 4 teaspoon dried thyme
500 ml Vegetable Stock or stock made from a cube
1 x 400 g can tomatoes
1 x 220 g can butter or broad beans, drained and rinsed
1/ 2 teaspoon pepper
Chopped parsley to garnish
In deep 3 litre microwave-safe bowl, place butter or margarine. Cook, covered with kitchen paper, on High (100% power) for 2 minutes, or until melted.
To melted butter or margarine, add vegetables and herbs; stir to combine. Cook, covered, on High for 7-9 minutes, until vegetables are tender-crisp, stirring twice.
To vegetable mixture, add stock, tomatoes with their liquid, beans and pepper; stir to break up tomatoes. Cook, covered, on High for 5 minutes, or until piping hot; discard bay leaf. Serve hot, garnished with parsley.
EASY VEGETABLE SOUP: [DECOR RECIPES]
We recommend using the Microsafe® Jug.
Serves 4 (makes 4 x 250ml serves)
Preparation time 8 minutes
Cooking time 10 minutes
Peel and dice or grate:
1 small onion
1 small carrot
1/2 small sweet potato
1 small potato
corn from 1 cob
You need 2 cups of vegetables altogether.
For the best result, cut the vegetables quite small.
Put into jug with 45 grams butter.
Put lid on jug with pourer open.
Microwave on high for 5 minutes.
Stir.
Add 3 cups water and 1 stock cube or 3 cups stock.
Mix in 1 tablespoon tomato paste.
Microwave for another 5 minutes, with pourer open.
Stir.
Microwave again with pourer open until the vegetables are tender (about 5 minutes). Remove from microwave.
Close pourer and let rest for 3 minutes.
Check seasoning.
Note: To make a creamy style soup, puree with a hand-held electric blender through pourer.
Reheat in microwave using the Microsafe® jug with lid on and pourer open or, for individual servings, in the Microsafe® soup mug with lid on and with red steam-release vent open.
Garnish: add a little chopped parsley and grated cheese then top with croutons.
TOMATO SOUP: [DECOR RECIPES]
A combination of fresh tomatoes (to give texture and a fresh flavour) mixed with canned tomatoes can make a very avoursome soup, even in winter when tomatoes are not so good. If you want a creamy soup, trickle some cream on top, or, for a Mediterranean taste, add a teaspoon of basil to each soup bowl.
Serves 5 (makes 5 x 250ml serves).
Preparation time 12 minutes. Cooking time 25 minutes. We recommend using the Microsafe® Jug.

30 grams butter
1 onion, very ‑nely chopped
2 cloves garlic, very ‑nely chopped

HOW TO COOK:
Put oil and butter into Microsafe® jug and add onion, garlic and ginger. Stir so they are coated. Put lid on jug with pourer open and
microwave for 7 minutes. Remove, add honey and fresh tomatoes with rice and stir. Microwave for 7 minutes. Add canned tomatoes and stock and cook again for a further 8 minutes. Remove from microwave. Close pourer and leave for 10 minutes.
Process or use a hand-held electric blender to make a puree.
Reheat in microwave using the Microsafe® jug with lid on and pourer open or, for individual servings, in the Microsafe® soup mug with lid on and red steam-release vent open.
SOUTHWEST CHICKEN SOUP: [FAST FOODS REDEFINED]
Pantry items, ready-made chicken broth and cooked chicken are easily combined to make this hearty homemade soup!
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon taco seasoning
1 can (15 oz.) diced tomatoes with green chilies
2 cups prepared chicken broth
1 can (15 oz.) garbanzo beans, drained
2 cups (about 10 oz.) cubed cooked chicken
1/2 cup frozen corn
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional)
HOW TO:
1. In 2-quart microwave-safe casserole, stir together onion, pepper, oil and seasoning. Microwave on HIGH, 1-2 minutes, stirring once, or until vegetables begin to soften. Add tomatoes and chicken broth. Microwave, covered, on HIGH, 5-6 minutes or until mixture begins to bubble. Stir in beans, chicken and corn. Microwave, covered, on HIGH, 5 minutes until mixture begins to bubble. Stir in lime juice, if desired.
2. Cover casserole. To simmer, microwave on Level 4, 10 minutes on power.
Stir before serving.
Makes six, 1-cup servings.

30 ml butter or margarine
75 ml chives, chopped
1 carlic clove, crushed (optional)

HOW TO:
Microwave butter, chives, garlic, pepper and tomato in Gourmet Deep Roaster Bowl for 2 minutes. Add flour, cumin, white pepper and extract powder, mix well. Add milk and water, whisk through. Microwave for 4 minutes on high or until soup starts boiling. Stir though, microwave for another 3 minutes. Add grated cheese, microwave for 2 minutes on medium, stirring after 1 minute. 1 x 420g can Cream of Mushroom soup
1 x 420g can Cream of Tomato soup
2 cans of milk or 1 can of milk and 1 can of cream (use empty soup can)
2 x 100g cans tuna
1 x tin of smoked mussels (optional)
15 ml tawny Port or Sherry
Mix all ingredients and pour into the Medium Bowl.
Microwave for 5 – 7 minutes, or until done. HIGH.
Must bring to boil.
Serve with fresh bread.

TOMATO SOUP:

Ripe tomato : 4
Onion : 2
Butter : 1 tbsp
Maida : 1 tsp
Salt : as needed
Pepper powder : as needed
Milk : 2 cups
Cut tomato into pieces.
Cut onion finely.
Set microwave to high power.
Mix onion butter maida in a vessel and keep it for 2 minutes.
Add tomato and salt.
keep it for 4-6 minutes.
Let it cool. Blend it in a mixie. Add milk
Set microwave to medium power and keep it for 3-5 minutes until done.
Take 2 slices of bread smear butter on both sides.
Toast bread on a grill for 2 - 3 minutes.
Cut the bread into cubes and add to soup before serving.

■1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
■1 Tbs. water
■1 boneless skinless chicken breast half, cut into 1/4 inch dice
■4 cups chicken stock
■2 ounces linguine
■2 tsp. curry powder
■1-2/3 cups canned unsweetened coconut milk
■2 Tbs. fresh cilantro
Spread coconut on a microwave safe plate, sprinkle with water and stir to moisten. Microwave 4 minutes on high, uncovered, stirring once, or until lightly golden. Set aside. Combine chicken and stock in a bowl. Cover and microwave 7-8 minutes on high, or until boiling. Add linguine, curry powder and salt to taste. Cover and microwave 8-10 minutes on high, or until pasta is al dente. Stir in coconut milk. Cover and microwave 1-2 minutes on high, or until heated through. Serve sprinkled with toasted coconut and cilantro.

This chowder will satisfy the heartiest of appetites. Serve with slices of fresh bread.
2 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes (about 2 cups)
6 slices bacon, chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup fi nely chopped celery
2 cups chicken broth
1 can (14-3/4 oz.) cream style corn
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup milk or cream (optional)
Shredded cheddar cheese for serving optional).
Combine potatoes, bacon, onion and celery in 2-quart microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave on HIGH, 4-6 minutes or until onion is softened and bacon fat is melted.
Drain bacon drippings.
Stir in chicken broth.
Microwave on HIGH, 10-12 minutes or until potatoes are fork tender; stir once after 5 minutes.
Add cream style corn, salt and pepper.
Microwave on power Level 4, 10-12 minutes.
Stir in milk, if desired, during last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
Ladle into bowls.
Top with shredded cheese, if desired.

CTEAMY COCONUT CHICKEN SOUP:

1 420gm can cream of chicken soup
1 420gm can coconut milk
1 22gm packet Singapore style soft noodles
1 TBS coriander
1 TBS Soya sauce
Combine the chicken soup and the coconut milk.
Heat in a saucepan over a moderate heat or in the microwave on high for about 5 minutes.
Add the noodles and heat for a further 2 minutes-until noodles separate.
Add soya sauce and coriander and serve.
Serves 2 as a main meal.
* Another variation is to use a tin of cream of pumpkin soup instead of the chicken, and a TBS of chilli sauce and a TBS of fish sauce instead of the soya sauce.
MICROWAVE FRENCH ONION SOUP:
3 med. onions, thin sliced
3 tbsp. butter
2 (10 oz.) can beef consomme
1 1/2 cans water
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup. Swiss cheese
French bread
In 3-quart covered casserole, onion and butter on high 5 minutes.
Stir, high for additional 5 minutes.
Add broth, water, salt and pepper.
Cover, high for 20 minutes.

Cook bacon on high for 4 minutes. Remove bacon. Add clam juice to bacon drippings, put clams aside.

Slowly add milk to vegetables; mix well. Cook on high uncovered for 4 minutes. Add cream, salt, pepper, thyme, clams and crumbled bacon. Cook on high for 4 minutes.

About This Recipe
"Almost a mini-version of the "soup in a jar" recipes you see everywhere. However, this is for individual servings that just take a few minutes in the microwave instead of an hour on the stove! I made these for Christmas for everyone (including myself). I keep them in my drawer at work to warm up when I don't have time for lunch. They're also great for students in a dorm with nothing but a microwave, dieters trying to limit portion sizes, or quick and easy things for kids to make themselves. Just put them into ziploc bags and seal. You can make as many or as few as you want. I find it easist to set out 8-10 ziplocs and just add each ingredient to the individual bags instead of making them one at a time."
Ingredients
1/3 cup instant potato flakes
1/4 cup powdered coffee creamer
2 teaspoons parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon chicken gravy
3/4 teaspoon dried parsley
1/4 teaspoon Mrs. Dash seasoning mix ( or other salt-free seasoning)
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon Butter Buds (optional)

Directions

EGGS AND BACON VEGGIE SOUP:
For speed in preparation, buy cleaned spinach, or use 1 cup chopped parsley.
4 slices bacon
1 medium-size carrot, peeled if desired, thinly sliced diagonally
1 small onion, chopped
1 small turnip, peeled and diced
1 small (about 1/4 lb.) potato, peeled and diced
1 teaspoon dry basil leaves
1-3/4 cups regular-strength chichen broth
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) low-sodium stewed tomatoes
2 cups cleaned, lightly packed spinach leaves, cut in silvers
4 large eggs
Place bacon in a single layer on 6 layers of paper towels.
Cover with 2 paper towels.
Cook at full power (100 percent) in a microwave oven until bacon is brown and crisp, 3 to 4 minutes.
Crumble bacon and set aside.
In a deep 2- to 2-1/2-quart nonmetal container, stir carrot, onion, turnip, potato, basil, and broth.
Cover with lid or plstic wrap and cook at full power until carrot is barely tender to bite, 7 to 9 minutes.
Stir in tomatoes and spinach.
Gently crack eggs into soup, spacing them evenly. Carefully prick each yolk with the tines of a fork.

Mikrogolf die botter en kerrie vir 1 minuut op 100% krag sonder deksel. Voeg die uie by en meng goed. Mikrogolf vir 5 minute op 100% krag sonder 'n deksel.
Voeg die butternut by en mikrogolf op 100% krag vir 10 minute met deksel. Maak die butternut fyn en voeg die neutmuskaat en koekmeel by.

375ml Fish stock
100g canned corn kernels, drained
500g boneless white fish, cut into bite-size chunks
24 mussels, scrubbed, debearded (optional) or 1 tin Smoked Mussels (optional)
150ml thick cream
2 tbsp flat-leaf parsley, chopped, to garnish
Instructions
Put the bacon in the X/L Roaster Bowl and microwave for 5 minutes on High. Add onion and microwave for 5 minutes or until tender. Add celery and garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes till tender. Add potatoes and microwave for 8 – 10 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Add flour, cook for 1 minute. Stir in the hot milk and fish stock cook for 5 – 10 minutes. Add corn and fish mix and cook for a 5 minutes or until fish is opaque. When using mussels, add during the last 2 minutes of cooking time. Add cream, season with salt and pepper, stir and serve in the Gourmet Soup Bowls. Garish with parsley and serve with fresh bread rolls.
If prepared in the oven:
Microwave the Bacon for 5 minutes. Add onion and microwave for 5 minutes on High or until tender. Add the celery and garlic and Microwave for 1-2 minutes till tender. Mix all remaining ingredients and cook for 60 minutes at 180°C.

Plaas botter en knoffel in mikrogolfoond en mikrogolf vir 1 minuut teen 100% krag.
Voeg pampoen en aftreksel by en mikrogolf vir 20 minute teen 100% krag tot pampoen sag is, terwyl af en toe geroer word. Laat sop afkoel en verpulp invoedeselverwerker tot sag. Voeg klappermelk by, geur en verpulp weer. Plaas sop in yskas tot afgekoel. Sit yskoud saam met geroosterde klapper voor. Garneer met vars tiemie.
VEGETABLE CHOWDER:
60 g butter or margarine
2 large carrots, chopped
2 large celery sticks, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 medium potato ( about 175g), peeled and chopped
1 bay leaf
1/ 4 teaspoon dried thyme
500 ml Vegetable Stock or stock made from a cube
1 x 400 g can tomatoes
1 x 220 g can butter or broad beans, drained and rinsed
1/ 2 teaspoon pepper
Chopped parsley to garnish
In deep 3 litre microwave-safe bowl, place butter or margarine. Cook, covered with kitchen paper, on High (100% power) for 2 minutes, or until melted.
To melted butter or margarine, add vegetables and herbs; stir to combine. Cook, covered, on High for 7-9 minutes, until vegetables are tender-crisp, stirring twice.
To vegetable mixture, add stock, tomatoes with their liquid, beans and pepper; stir to break up tomatoes. Cook, covered, on High for 5 minutes, or until piping hot; discard bay leaf. Serve hot, garnished with parsley.
EASY VEGETABLE SOUP: [DECOR RECIPES]

Serves 4 (makes 4 x 250ml serves)
Preparation time 8 minutes
Cooking time 10 minutes
Peel and dice or grate:
1 small onion
1 small carrot
1/2 small sweet potato
1 small potato
corn from 1 cob
You need 2 cups of vegetables altogether.
For the best result, cut the vegetables quite small.
Put into jug with 45 grams butter.
Put lid on jug with pourer open.
Microwave on high for 5 minutes.
Stir.
Add 3 cups water and 1 stock cube or 3 cups stock.
Mix in 1 tablespoon tomato paste.
Microwave for another 5 minutes, with pourer open.
Stir.
Microwave again with pourer open until the vegetables are tender (about 5 minutes). Remove from microwave.
Close pourer and let rest for 3 minutes.
Check seasoning.
Note: To make a creamy style soup, puree with a hand-held electric blender through pourer.
Reheat in microwave using the Microsafe® jug with lid on and pourer open or, for individual servings, in the Microsafe® soup mug with lid on and with red steam-release vent open.
Garnish: add a little chopped parsley and grated cheese then top with croutons.
TOMATO SOUP: [DECOR RECIPES]
A combination of fresh tomatoes (to give texture and a fresh flavour) mixed with canned tomatoes can make a very avoursome soup, even in winter when tomatoes are not so good. If you want a creamy soup, trickle some cream on top, or, for a Mediterranean taste, add a teaspoon of basil to each soup bowl.
Serves 5 (makes 5 x 250ml serves).
Preparation time 12 minutes. Cooking time 25 minutes. We recommend using the Microsafe® Jug.
2 tablespoons olive oil
30 grams butter
1 onion, very ‑nely chopped
2 cloves garlic, very ‑nely chopped
1 slice ginger, cut into shreds
2 teaspoons honey
500 grams tomatoes, cut into very small pieces
1 can tomatoes (420 grams)
1 tablespoon long-grain rice
2 cups vegetable stock or water with a vegetable cube
HOW TO COOK:
Put oil and butter into Microsafe® jug and add onion, garlic and ginger. Stir so they are coated. Put lid on jug with pourer open and
microwave for 7 minutes. Remove, add honey and fresh tomatoes with rice and stir. Microwave for 7 minutes. Add canned tomatoes and stock and cook again for a further 8 minutes. Remove from microwave. Close pourer and leave for 10 minutes.
Process or use a hand-held electric blender to make a puree.

SOUTHWEST CHICKEN SOUP: [FAST FOODS REDEFINED]
Pantry items, ready-made chicken broth and cooked chicken are easily combined to make this hearty homemade soup!
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon taco seasoning
1 can (15 oz.) diced tomatoes with green chilies
2 cups prepared chicken broth
1 can (15 oz.) garbanzo beans, drained
2 cups (about 10 oz.) cubed cooked chicken
1/2 cup frozen corn
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional)
HOW TO:
1. In 2-quart microwave-safe casserole, stir together onion, pepper, oil and seasoning. Microwave on HIGH, 1-2 minutes, stirring once, or until vegetables begin to soften. Add tomatoes and chicken broth. Microwave, covered, on HIGH, 5-6 minutes or until mixture begins to bubble. Stir in beans, chicken and corn. Microwave, covered, on HIGH, 5 minutes until mixture begins to bubble. Stir in lime juice, if desired.
2. Cover casserole. To simmer, microwave on Level 4, 10 minutes on power.
Stir before serving.
Makes six, 1-cup servings.

EASY MEXICAN CHEESE SOUP: [ARGILLA]
30 ml butter or margarine
75 ml chives, chopped
1 carlic clove, crushed (optional)
30 ml green or red pepper, finely chopped
75 ml tomato, peeled, chopped
60 ml cake flour
pinch ground cumin
pinch white pepper
5 ml chicken extract powder or half of a
chicken stock cube
500 ml milk, heated
250 ml warm water
250 ml Cheddar cheese, grated salt & black
pepper to taste
HOW TO:
Microwave butter, chives, garlic, pepper and tomato in Gourmet Deep Roaster Bowl for 2 minutes. Add flour, cumin, white pepper and extract powder, mix well. Add milk and water, whisk through. Microwave for 4 minutes on high or until soup starts boiling. Stir though, microwave for another 3 minutes. Add grated cheese, microwave for 2 minutes on medium, stirring after 1 minute. Spoon into Soup Mugs, serve immediatly.
CHICKEN SOUP:
1 can chicken broth (or broth from chicken breast)
1 cup. water
1/2 cup. diced carrot
1/4 cup. chopped celery
1/4 cup. chopped onion
2 (5 oz.) cans chicken or
1 chicken breast, cooked skinned & chopped in sm. pieces
1 cup. peas (frozen or canned)
1/4 to 1/2 tsp. black pepper1/3 cup. UNCOOKED instant rice
WHAT TO DO:
Combine broth, water, carrot, celery and onion in 3 quart casserole. Cover and microwave on high for 8 minutes, stirring after 4 minutes. Add chicken, peas and pepper and microwave on high for 6 to 8 minutes. Stir in rice, cover and cook for 3 minutes longer.
