125ml Maltabela
250ml Koue water/melk
Meng bestanddele goed.
Kook vir 4 minute op HOOG.
Roer goed na 2 minute.
STYWE MIELIEPAP:
250 ml Mieliemeel
400 ml Kookwater
Sout na smaak
Gooi kookwater gelydelik by mieliepap en meng goed.
Mikrogolf op 70% [med hoog] vir 5 minute.
Roer gedurende kookproses goed.
Bedek met kleefplastiek en laat staat vir 5 minute om gaar te stoom.
POFFERIGE OMELET:
2 Eiers
12,5ml Olie
25 ml Water
Sout en peper na smaak
2 ml Bakpoeier
Klits die eierwitte tot stywepunte.
Klits die water, eiergeel, sout, peper en bakpoeier saam.
Vou die eiwitte in die eiermengsel.
Meer die deksel met bietjie olie en verhit vir 30 sekondes op HOOG.
Voeg die eiermengsel in deksel en kook vir 1½ minuut op HOOG.
Sprinkel gerasperde kaas oor op die een helfte.
Vou die omelette toe en mikrogolf vir verdure 30 sekondes op HOOG.

GEBAKTE EIER:
10 ml Margarine
1 Eie
Sout en peper na smaak
Mikrogolf die margarine vir 30 sekondes op HOOG in ‘n koppie of ramekin.
Breek die eier in die koppie, prik die eiergeel en maak toe met kleefplastiek.
Mikrogolf vir ongeveer 1 minuut op MEDIUM.
Bedien saam met roosterbrood.

MIKROGOLF PAP:
Gebruik so 1 koppie meel. Meng met gekookte water tot dit so slapperig is. Sit in mikro vir 10 min op hoog sonder deksel. Haal uit mikro en roer goed. Sit dan in die pap een van die volgende: blikkie suikermielies of heel of gesnyde mushrooms of biltong of room of mayonnaise. Roer goed in. As jy mushrooms insit sorg dat die bedek is met die meelmengsel. Sit botter by en roer goed. Sit weer in mikro vir 10 minute op hoog. Voeg dan sout by en bedien.

'n Bietjie pietersielie (as dit droog uit ‘n botteltjie kom, so omtrent ‘n teelepelvol)
1. Sit water, sout, beesblokkie en pietersielie in ‘n glasbak met ‘n deksel en mikrogolf vir 4 minute of totdat die water kook.
2. Druk die beesblokkie stukkend. Gooi meel in ‘n hopie in die middel by en mikrogolf vir 1,5 minute. (Al die kookwerk regdeur die resep moet met die deksel op gedoen word om die stoom te benut.)
3. Roer deeglik met ‘n omkeer- en fyndrukaksie met ‘n groot drietandvurk. In hierdie stadium sal die pap hom soos ‘n stuk taai vispap gedra, maar moenie skrik nie. Dis normaal. Hy sal regkom.
4. Mikrogolf vir 4,5 minute.
5. Roer deeglik.
6. Mikrogolf vir 4,5 minute.
7. Roer deeglik.
8. Sit ‘n allemintige klont botter by.
9. Mikrogolf vir 1 minuut.

Knippie paprika
Voer twee gesmeerde ramekins of koppies met die ham uit.
Strooi die helfte kaas oor.
Meng die eiers en jogurt deeglik.
Geur met sout en peper.
Giet in die ramekins of koppies.
Strooi orige kaas, pietersielie en paprika oor.
Mikrogolf 4 – 5 minute op MED KRAG [70%] tot gestol in die middel.
Sit warm voor met roosterbrood.

Breakfast is not the only time you can enjoy this delicious dish. For a fiesta twist, fi l flour tortillas with scrambled eggs and top with shredded Mexican cheese blend and salsa.
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
4 slices ready-cooked bacon, fi nely chopped
2 tablespoons fi nely chopped onion
1/4 cup fi nely chopped green or red bell pepper
6 eggs
1/3 cup sour cream
1/2 cup (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Place butter in 1-quart microwave-safe casserole.
Microwave on HIGH, 20-30 seconds or until melted.
Tilt casserole to coat bottom.
Add bacon, onion and bell pepper to casserole.
Microwave on HIGH, 1-2 minutes or until vegetables begin to soften.
In medium bowl, whisk together eggs and sour cream.
Stir in cheese and black pepper.
Pour egg mixture into casserole.
Microwave on HIGH, 3-5 minutes or until eggs are set; stir every 2 minutes.
Serve immediately.

3 cup. frozen hashbrowns
1/2 green or red bell pepper, chopped
1/2 lb. crisp fried bacon (broken)
1/4 cup. milk
1 cup. grated Cheddar cheese and Mozzarella cheese (mixed to proportions of taste to equal 1 cup.)
Salt and pepper to taste
Lightly brown hash browns and pepper in bacon grease.
Place hash browns on a 2 quart casserole dish and sprinkle with 1/2 of cheese and 1/2 of bacon.
Mix egg and milk together and pour over cheese and bacon.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bacon.
Cover with waxed paper and microwave high 3 1/2 to 4 minutes or until eggs are nearly set rotating dish 1/2 turn after 2 minutes.
Let stand 2 to 3 minutes or until set.
Cut and serve.
(About 6 servings.)

3 cups toasted corn cereal squares
2 cups popped popcorn
2 cups mini pretzels
1 can (11.5 oz.) mixed nuts
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon seasoning salt
2 cups sweetened dried cranberries
Place clean paper towels over large cooling rack; set aside.
In large 2-1/2-quart microwave-safe bowl, combine cereal, popcorn, pretzels and nuts; set aside.
Place butter in small microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave on HIGH, 30-60 seconds or until melted.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce and seasoning salt.
Drizzle over cereal mixture; mix gently to coat.
Place cereal mixture in microwave.
Microwave on HIGH, 4 minutes,stirring after 2 minutes.
Turn cereal mixture onto paper towels, spreading evenly. Cool completely.
Transfer cereal mixture to large serving bowl.
Stir in cranberries.
Makes about 9 cups.
COOKWARE TIP:
Spreading cereal mixture over paper towels will help absorb moisture, avoiding a soggy mix.

BACON CHEESE MICROWAVE MUFFINS:

3 slices bacon
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup unsifted all purpose flour
1/2 cup sharp grated shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1-2 tbsp. jalapeno peppers
Place bacon between paper towels and microwave until crisp (about 3 minutes) full power.
Food Processor: Add all dry ingredients to bowl of food processor; pulse until mixed.
Add egg, oil and milk.
Process 20 seconds. Add bacon, cheese and peppers. Process 10 seconds.
Mixer Method:
Beat together egg, milk and oil in a 2 cup measuring cup.
In mixing bowl, combine flour, cheese, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Mix.
On low speed, slowly pour in milk mixture.
Crumble bacon and add; stir in chopped peppers.
Microwave in oiled silicone muffin cups (or other microwave safe muffin pans lined with paper) until no longer doughy in center and fully cooked through (about 2-4 minutes, but this varies according to the microwave being used).
The muffin cups should be filled until 2/3 full.
BREAKFAST IN A MUG:

1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp milk or water
1-2 eggs
1 dash pepper
1 dash salt
1 slice bacon, cooked (optional)
Shredded cheese
Place butter in 12-oz. microwave-safe mug or small bowl.
Microwave on High 30-45 seconds, or until melted.
Add egg(s), milk, salt and pepper.
Stir or whip with a fork.
Microwave 1 egg on High 35-45 seconds; 2 eggs, 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 minutes or until eggs begin to set, stirring with fork to break apart after half of the time.
Remove eggs when they are still soft and moist (you may have to play with the time, depending on your microwave).
Let stand about 2 minutes.
While eggs are standing, crumble bacon and add to eggs.
Eggs will firm up while standing.
If desired, sprinkle with shredded cheese during standing time.
BASIC OMELET RECIPE:

1 tablespoon butter
3 eggs, room temperature
1 tablespoon water
1/8 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
In 9-inch pie plate, place butter.
Microwave at high (10) 30 to 45 seconds until melted.
Turn plate to coat.
In medium mixing bowl, combine eggs, water, salt and pepper.
Beat with a wire whisk until blended.
Pour mixture into pie plate.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Microwave at high (10) 1 to 2 minutes until omelet is almost set; stir after 30 seconds.
Let stand, covered, 2 minutes.
Using a spatula, loosen edges of omelet from plate; fold over and serve.
BREAKFAST BURRITOS:

Breakfast burritos are a great and delicious way to start off your day. By following these directions, you can be sure to make a great breakfast burrito that you will want to eat every day!
Take two eggs and crack them into a microwave safe bowl. Using a whisk or spoon, beat the eggs until they are properly mixed.
Finely dice some ingredients of your choice: green peppers, onions, ham and/or bacon. Sausage works well too.
Add the diced ingredients into the bowl. Add milk or half and half to give the egg a more fluffy texture. Water also works. Mix everything again.
Microwave the bowl for approximately three minutes. Cooking times will vary so check once the egg starts to rise. Do not overcook.
Take a tortilla of your choice and set it down flat on a plate. Try tomato basil, which has excellent flavor. At this point add a touch of salsa to give it more of a 'Mexican' flavor as well as American cheese. However, this is all up to your taste.
Once the egg is done, scramble it up in the bowl and put contents into the tortilla.
Wrap both sides of the tortilla inward and then roll it up from the bottom. This should 'seal' both sides and allow for easy eating. Enjoy

3 green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon bacon drippings
1/2 cup fresh mushrooms, finely chopped
5 slices bread, buttered
Garlic salt
1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
In 2-quart casserole, combine onions, bacon drippings and mushrooms.
Microwave at high (10) 2 to 3 minutes until onions are transparent and mushrooms are tender.
Set aside.
Sprinkle buttered bread with garlic salt.
Cut slices in half diagonally.
Arrange buttered side down in 10-inch pie plate, forming a crust.
Sprinkle onions and mushrooms over bread.
In medium mixing bowl, combine Cheddar cheese, Swiss cheese, flour and bacon.
Spread over top of onions and mushrooms.
In small mixing bowl, beat together milk, eggs, salt and pepper.
Pour evenly over cheese.
Microwave at medium high (7) 9 to 12 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
STUFFIN MUFFINS RECIPE:

1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
1 (4-ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1 teaspoon dried rubbed sage
1 cup chicken broth
1 (8-ounce) package seasoned bread stuffing
Butter or margarine
1. In a medium-sized heat-resistant non-metallic bowl melt the 1/2 cup butter in Microwave Oven 1(1 1/4) minute.
2 Add onion, celery and mushrooms and heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 5 (614) minutes or until vegetables are tender.
3. Sprinkle sage over vegetable mixture.
4. Add chicken broth and stir to combine.
5. Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 3 (4) minutes.
6. Add bread stuffing and toss lightly.
7 Lightly grease 8 small custard or coffee cups with butter.
8. Divide stuffing among cups.
9. Just before serving, heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 8 (10) minutes or until heated through.
HAM AND EGG COBBLER:

A delicious, quick and cheap comfort food recipe, this cheesy ham and egg cobbler is cooked in the microwave and works out at just 64p per portion.
■Serves: 2
■Prep time: 8 mins
■Cooking time: 6 mins
■Total time: 14 mins
■2 medium slices white or wholemeal bread
■A little soft butter or vegetable oil spread
■3 slices wafer thin ham, torn in half
■4 large eggs
■4tbsp (60ml) milk
■50g (2oz) Cheddar cheese, grated
■Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1.Butter the bread and cut the slices into quarters. Arrange the slices in a shallow microwave-proof dish. Tuck the slices of ham in between the bread.
2.Crack the eggs into a jug, add the milk and seasoning. Beat together with a wire whisk, then pour over the bread, pressing down the bread to soak up the milk.
3.Cover the dish with an upturned plate and microwave on high for 5 mins, turning after 3 mins.
4.Remove the dish from the oven and scatter over the cheese and return to the oven. Cook on high for 1 min. Leave to stand for 2 mins before serving.
5.If you like, pop the cobbler under a hot grill to brown. Serve hot or warm with salad.
PAUL MERRETT'S BACON AND EGG PUDDING:

Tuck into this hearty savoury bread and butter pud with bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes. Plus it's ready in 15 mins!
■Serves: 2
■Prep time: 5 mins
■Cooking time: 10 mins
■3 slices white bread with fibre
■Softened butter to spread
■4 rashers streaky bacon, chopped
■50g/2oz chestnut mushrooms, sliced
■75g/3oz cherry tomatoes, halved
■4 large eggs
■150ml/¼ pt milk
■Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1.Preheat the oven to 220°C (fan 200°C/gas mark 7). Spread the slices of bread with butter then cut each in half. Lay the slices in a shallow ovenproof dish. Scatter over the bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes.
2.Beat the eggs with the milk and seasoning. Pour the egg over the bread then pop in the oven to bake for 10 mins. Serve warm.
Cook's tip:
Alternatively, you could cook the pudding in the microwave on high (800W oven) for 4 mins.
Stand for 2 mins, then pop under a hot grill and cook for 2-3 mins.
Adjust the timing to suit your microwave.
CHORIZO POTATO AND PEPPER TORTILLA:

Cooking Time: 12-13 mins
Serves: 2
225g/9oz medium new potatoes, washed
15ml/1tbsp olive oil
1 red pepper, deseeded and sliced
50g/2oz chorizo sausage, sliced
4 large eggs
25g/1oz cheddar cheese, grated
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Prick the potatoes all over with a fork and place in a micro-proof bowl.
Add a splash of water, cover the bowl with an upturned plate and microwave on HIGH for 6 mins, stirring once, until the potatoes are tender.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
Slice the potatoes.
Place the pepper and oil in a micro-proof 20cm/8in wide shallow dish.
Cover with an upturned plate and cook on HIGH for 2 mins.
Stir in the potatoes and chorizo.
Beat the eggs with seasoning and pour over the hot vegetables.
Stir well.
Cover with an upturned plate and cook on HIGH for 1 min 30 secs.
Stir well, pushing the cooked egg into the middle of the dish, shake to level.
Cover with the plate and cook on HIGH for a further 2 mins.
Leave to stand for 3 mins.
Scatter over the cheese and cook on HIGH for 1 min until the cheese has melted or, if liked, brown under a hot grill.
Remove from the dish and cut into wedges.
Serve warm or cold.
MICROWAVE FRIED EGG SANDWICH:

2 slices of whole wheat bread (toasting optional)
1 tsp mayonnaise
1 slice of fresh tomato
1 piece Romaine lettuce
Salt and pepper, to taste
Get a microwave safe container to cook your eggs in.
They now have specialized containers to make omelets and eggs in the microwave, using one of those makes this meal very easy to make when you are on the go.
Place 1 to 2 eggs into the container and put into the microwave on medium power for 1 minute.
If eggs are not cooked through continue to cook in 15 second increments until done.
Spread mayonnaise over toasted/untoasted bread, placing the romaine lettuce, tomato, and egg onto the toast.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Be creative!
You can scramble the eggs and add salsa before cooking if you want a little more flavour.

4 cherry tomatoes, halved

60ml suurroom
60ml melk
Sout en peper na smaak
Knippie mosterdpoeier
30ml pietersielie gekap
100g Switserse kaas, gerasper
Plaas gekrummelde worsvleis in ‘n ronde oondskottel en mikrogolf
onbedek op volle krag vir 3 – 5 minute totdat vleis nie meer pienk is nie.
Roer een of twee keer tydens gaarmaakproses.
Dreineer vleis goed en hou warm.
Plaas ongeveer 30ml wan afdrupsel in die oondskottel.
Voeg uie by en mikrogolf op volle krag vir 1 minuut.
Voeg die eiers, suurroom, melk, sout en peper, mosterd en pietersielie in
bak en meng goed.
Giet oor die uie en mikrogolf vir 5 – 7 minute op volle krag totdat eiers amper gestol is.
Roer twee keer tydens gaarmaakproses.
Skep die vleismengsel bo-oor en sprinkel kaas oor.
Mikrogolf op medium vir 3 – 5 minute totdat die kaas gesmelt is.

1 cup. packed brown sugar
1/4 cup. sugar
1/2 cup. butter
2 tbsp. honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 cup. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cup. quick cooking rolled oats
1 1/4 cup. crisp rice cereal
1 cup. chopped almonds
1 cup. raisins or chocolate chips
1/2 cup. wheat germ
Grease 12x8 inch or 13x9 inch microwave dish.
In large bowl cream brown sugar, sugar and butter until fluffy.
Add honey, vanilla and egg.
Mix well.
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup.
Level off.
Gradually blend in flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt at low speed.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Press firmly into bottom of dish.
Microwave on MEDIUM for 7-9 minutes or until set, rotating dish half turn every 3 minutes during cooking.
Bars will firm as they stand.
Makes 24 bars.
MICROWAVE HASHBROWN OMELET:

5 cup. diced potatoes
3 cup. diced ham
1 cup. cheese
4 eggs
Any other omelet ingredients desired.
Put potatoes into a microwave dish and microwave covered on high 4 to 6 minutes until potatoes are tender.
Beat eggs.
Pour on to potatoes and add the rest of ingredients.
Microwave uncovered high 6 to 7 minutes stirring once after 4 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper after cooking.
Serve hot.

MEXICAN EGG RING:

8 eggs
¼ cup chopped onion
1 cup flavoured cheese
1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup Cheddar cheese
1 small. can Ortega green chilies
8 pieces cooked and crumbled bacon
Mix eggs together in a container.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Spray ring pan lightly with vegetable spray.
Pour mixture into ringpan.
Cover with waxed paper.
Cook on HIGH for 14 minutes.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Serve with guacamole, salsa and sour cream.
Serve with hot tortillas.
BREAKFAST (OR DINNER) PIE:
1/4 cup. chopped onion
2 tbsp. chopped red or green bell peppers, optional
2 (4 oz.) pkg. frozen hash browns or 1 cup. frozen potatoes

4 sausages, fully cooked and sliced thin
In a small 9 inch microwave safe pie plate, combine onion, bell pepper and potatoes. Cover with waxed paper and microwave on high for 3 minutes or until softened. Stir.

BACON MICROWAVE BOWL METHOD:
With this method, the bacon shrinks up away from the grease as it cooks, with the grease dripping onto the lower plate. And naturally, be careful when handling hot grease and dishes.
Place a microwave-safe bowl on a microwave-safe saucer or dish.

Microwave your bacon too! Place 2 rashers of bacon in a single layer on a micro-proof plate, cover with a piece of kitchen paper and microwave on HIGH for 1 min 30 secs.
BEAN AND CHEESE EGG BAKES:
Ingredients
•1/4 cup beans of choice (I always choose Bush's Best Beans.)
•2-3 tablespoons salsa, marinara or pizza sauce
•1/4 cup cheese of choice, shredded
•1 egg
•salt and pepper to taste
•optional: garnish with fresh or dried herbs of choice
Instructions
1.If using oven, preheat to 375°F.
2.In a ramekin lightly coated with butter or cooking spray, layer the ingredients in order of list. Or whatever order you'd like. It really doesn't matter that much as long as the egg isn't on the bottom. Add salt, pepper or other seasonings/herbs to taste.
3.For microwave:
Microwave on high for at least 60-90 seconds. You'll need to test your microwave for the proper cook time, adding an additional 30 seconds at a time. Just make sure the egg is done to your liking. I cover my ramekins sometimes with a damp paper towel or small plate to avoid splatters. Plus, it may help it cook quicker/better.
4.For oven:
Place ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until desired doneness.
5.Again, cooking times will vary depending on your microwave or oven, and the size ramekin you use. Also, remember to have fun with this recipe, by adjusting ingredients, and amounts to your preference.

3. In a medium sized bowl add all the filling ingredients and then beat with an electric mixer until it is smooth. Spread this filling over the base you’ve pressed into the pan.
4. In a small sized bowl combine the chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of butter and microwave on high for 30 to 60 seconds. Once it is smooth, spread it over the filling layer. Next, sprinkle the peanut butter pieces on top.

Breakfast is not the only time you can enjoy this delicious dish. For a fiesta twist, fi l flour tortillas with scrambled eggs and top with shredded Mexican cheese blend and salsa.
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
4 slices ready-cooked bacon, fi nely chopped
2 tablespoons fi nely chopped onion
1/4 cup fi nely chopped green or red bell pepper
6 eggs
1/3 cup sour cream
1/2 cup (4 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Place butter in 1-quart microwave-safe casserole.
Microwave on HIGH, 20-30 seconds or until melted.
Tilt casserole to coat bottom.
Add bacon, onion and bell pepper to casserole.
Microwave on HIGH, 1-2 minutes or until vegetables begin to soften.
In medium bowl, whisk together eggs and sour cream.
Stir in cheese and black pepper.
Pour egg mixture into casserole.

3 cup. frozen hashbrowns
1/2 green or red bell pepper, chopped
1/2 lb. crisp fried bacon (broken)
1/4 cup. milk
1 cup. grated Cheddar cheese and Mozzarella cheese (mixed to proportions of taste to equal 1 cup.)
Salt and pepper to taste
Lightly brown hash browns and pepper in bacon grease.
Place hash browns on a 2 quart casserole dish and sprinkle with 1/2 of cheese and 1/2 of bacon.
Mix egg and milk together and pour over cheese and bacon.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bacon.
Cover with waxed paper and microwave high 3 1/2 to 4 minutes or until eggs are nearly set rotating dish 1/2 turn after 2 minutes.
Let stand 2 to 3 minutes or until set.
Cut and serve.

3 cups toasted corn cereal squares
2 cups popped popcorn
2 cups mini pretzels
1 can (11.5 oz.) mixed nuts
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon seasoning salt
2 cups sweetened dried cranberries
Place clean paper towels over large cooling rack; set aside.
In large 2-1/2-quart microwave-safe bowl, combine cereal, popcorn, pretzels and nuts; set aside.
Place butter in small microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave on HIGH, 30-60 seconds or until melted.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce and seasoning salt.
Drizzle over cereal mixture; mix gently to coat.
Place cereal mixture in microwave.
Microwave on HIGH, 4 minutes,stirring after 2 minutes.
Turn cereal mixture onto paper towels, spreading evenly. Cool completely.
Transfer cereal mixture to large serving bowl.

3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 cup unsifted all purpose flour
1/2 cup sharp grated shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1-2 tbsp. jalapeno peppers
Place bacon between paper towels and microwave until crisp (about 3 minutes) full power.
Food Processor: Add all dry ingredients to bowl of food processor; pulse until mixed.
Add egg, oil and milk.
Process 20 seconds. Add bacon, cheese and peppers. Process 10 seconds.
Mixer Method:
Beat together egg, milk and oil in a 2 cup measuring cup.
In mixing bowl, combine flour, cheese, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Mix.
On low speed, slowly pour in milk mixture.
Crumble bacon and add; stir in chopped peppers.
Microwave in oiled silicone muffin cups (or other microwave safe muffin pans lined with paper) until no longer doughy in center and fully cooked through (about 2-4 minutes, but this varies according to the microwave being used).
The muffin cups should be filled until 2/3 full.
BREAKFAST IN A MUG:

1 slice bacon, cooked (optional)
Shredded cheese
Place butter in 12-oz. microwave-safe mug or small bowl.
Microwave on High 30-45 seconds, or until melted.
Add egg(s), milk, salt and pepper.
Stir or whip with a fork.
Microwave 1 egg on High 35-45 seconds; 2 eggs, 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 minutes or until eggs begin to set, stirring with fork to break apart after half of the time.
Remove eggs when they are still soft and moist (you may have to play with the time, depending on your microwave).
Let stand about 2 minutes.
While eggs are standing, crumble bacon and add to eggs.
Eggs will firm up while standing.
If desired, sprinkle with shredded cheese during standing time.

3 eggs, room temperature
1 tablespoon water
1/8 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
In 9-inch pie plate, place butter.
Microwave at high (10) 30 to 45 seconds until melted.
Turn plate to coat.
In medium mixing bowl, combine eggs, water, salt and pepper.
Beat with a wire whisk until blended.
Pour mixture into pie plate.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Microwave at high (10) 1 to 2 minutes until omelet is almost set; stir after 30 seconds.
Let stand, covered, 2 minutes.
Using a spatula, loosen edges of omelet from plate; fold over and serve.

Breakfast burritos are a great and delicious way to start off your day. By following these directions, you can be sure to make a great breakfast burrito that you will want to eat every day!
Take two eggs and crack them into a microwave safe bowl. Using a whisk or spoon, beat the eggs until they are properly mixed.
Finely dice some ingredients of your choice: green peppers, onions, ham and/or bacon. Sausage works well too.
Add the diced ingredients into the bowl. Add milk or half and half to give the egg a more fluffy texture. Water also works. Mix everything again.
Microwave the bowl for approximately three minutes. Cooking times will vary so check once the egg starts to rise. Do not overcook.
Take a tortilla of your choice and set it down flat on a plate. Try tomato basil, which has excellent flavor. At this point add a touch of salsa to give it more of a 'Mexican' flavor as well as American cheese. However, this is all up to your taste.
Once the egg is done, scramble it up in the bowl and put contents into the tortilla.
Wrap both sides of the tortilla inward and then roll it up from the bottom. This should 'seal' both sides and allow for easy eating. Enjoy

Garlic salt
1 cup Cheddar cheese, shredded

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
In 2-quart casserole, combine onions, bacon drippings and mushrooms.
Microwave at high (10) 2 to 3 minutes until onions are transparent and mushrooms are tender.
Set aside.
Sprinkle buttered bread with garlic salt.
Cut slices in half diagonally.
Arrange buttered side down in 10-inch pie plate, forming a crust.

In medium mixing bowl, combine Cheddar cheese, Swiss cheese, flour and bacon.

1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
1 (4-ounce) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1 teaspoon dried rubbed sage
1 cup chicken broth
1 (8-ounce) package seasoned bread stuffing
Butter or margarine
1. In a medium-sized heat-resistant non-metallic bowl melt the 1/2 cup butter in Microwave Oven 1(1 1/4) minute.
2 Add onion, celery and mushrooms and heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 5 (614) minutes or until vegetables are tender.
3. Sprinkle sage over vegetable mixture.
4. Add chicken broth and stir to combine.
5. Heat, uncovered, in Microwave Oven 3 (4) minutes.
6. Add bread stuffing and toss lightly.
7 Lightly grease 8 small custard or coffee cups with butter.
8. Divide stuffing among cups.

A delicious, quick and cheap comfort food recipe, this cheesy ham and egg cobbler is cooked in the microwave and works out at just 64p per portion.
■Serves: 2
■Prep time: 8 mins
■Cooking time: 6 mins
■Total time: 14 mins
■2 medium slices white or wholemeal bread
■A little soft butter or vegetable oil spread
■3 slices wafer thin ham, torn in half
■4 large eggs
■4tbsp (60ml) milk
■50g (2oz) Cheddar cheese, grated
■Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1.Butter the bread and cut the slices into quarters. Arrange the slices in a shallow microwave-proof dish. Tuck the slices of ham in between the bread.
2.Crack the eggs into a jug, add the milk and seasoning. Beat together with a wire whisk, then pour over the bread, pressing down the bread to soak up the milk.
3.Cover the dish with an upturned plate and microwave on high for 5 mins, turning after 3 mins.
4.Remove the dish from the oven and scatter over the cheese and return to the oven. Cook on high for 1 min. Leave to stand for 2 mins before serving.
5.If you like, pop the cobbler under a hot grill to brown. Serve hot or warm with salad.

225g/9oz medium new potatoes, washed
15ml/1tbsp olive oil
1 red pepper, deseeded and sliced
50g/2oz chorizo sausage, sliced
4 large eggs
25g/1oz cheddar cheese, grated
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Prick the potatoes all over with a fork and place in a micro-proof bowl.
Add a splash of water, cover the bowl with an upturned plate and microwave on HIGH for 6 mins, stirring once, until the potatoes are tender.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
Slice the potatoes.
Place the pepper and oil in a micro-proof 20cm/8in wide shallow dish.
Cover with an upturned plate and cook on HIGH for 2 mins.
Stir in the potatoes and chorizo.
Beat the eggs with seasoning and pour over the hot vegetables.
Stir well.
Cover with an upturned plate and cook on HIGH for 1 min 30 secs.
Stir well, pushing the cooked egg into the middle of the dish, shake to level.
Cover with the plate and cook on HIGH for a further 2 mins.
Leave to stand for 3 mins.
Scatter over the cheese and cook on HIGH for 1 min until the cheese has melted or, if liked, brown under a hot grill.
Remove from the dish and cut into wedges.

2 slices of whole wheat bread (toasting optional)
1 tsp mayonnaise
1 slice of fresh tomato
1 piece Romaine lettuce
Salt and pepper, to taste
Get a microwave safe container to cook your eggs in.
They now have specialized containers to make omelets and eggs in the microwave, using one of those makes this meal very easy to make when you are on the go.
Place 1 to 2 eggs into the container and put into the microwave on medium power for 1 minute.
If eggs are not cooked through continue to cook in 15 second increments until done.
Spread mayonnaise over toasted/untoasted bread, placing the romaine lettuce, tomato, and egg onto the toast.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Be creative!
You can scramble the eggs and add salsa before cooking if you want a little more flavour.
BROCCOLI AND TUNA OMELETTE:

1tbsp olive oil
4 cherry tomatoes, halved
50g/2oz flaked tuna, drained

Sout en peper na smaak

30ml pietersielie gekap
100g Switserse kaas, gerasper
Plaas gekrummelde worsvleis in ‘n ronde oondskottel en mikrogolf
onbedek op volle krag vir 3 – 5 minute totdat vleis nie meer pienk is nie.
Roer een of twee keer tydens gaarmaakproses.
Dreineer vleis goed en hou warm.
Plaas ongeveer 30ml wan afdrupsel in die oondskottel.
Voeg uie by en mikrogolf op volle krag vir 1 minuut.
Voeg die eiers, suurroom, melk, sout en peper, mosterd en pietersielie in
bak en meng goed.
Giet oor die uie en mikrogolf vir 5 – 7 minute op volle krag totdat eiers amper gestol is.
Roer twee keer tydens gaarmaakproses.

1/4 cup. sugar
1/2 cup. butter
2 tbsp. honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 cup. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cup. quick cooking rolled oats
1 1/4 cup. crisp rice cereal
1 cup. chopped almonds
1 cup. raisins or chocolate chips
1/2 cup. wheat germ
Grease 12x8 inch or 13x9 inch microwave dish.
In large bowl cream brown sugar, sugar and butter until fluffy.
Add honey, vanilla and egg.
Mix well.
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup.
Level off.
Gradually blend in flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt at low speed.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Press firmly into bottom of dish.
Microwave on MEDIUM for 7-9 minutes or until set, rotating dish half turn every 3 minutes during cooking.
Bars will firm as they stand.
Makes 24 bars.
MICROWAVE HASHBROWN OMELET:

5 cup. diced potatoes
3 cup. diced ham
1 cup. cheese
4 eggs
Any other omelet ingredients desired.
Put potatoes into a microwave dish and microwave covered on high 4 to 6 minutes until potatoes are tender.
Beat eggs.
Pour on to potatoes and add the rest of ingredients.
Microwave uncovered high 6 to 7 minutes stirring once after 4 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper after cooking.
Serve hot.

MEXICAN EGG RING:

8 eggs
¼ cup chopped onion
1 cup flavoured cheese
1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup Cheddar cheese
1 small. can Ortega green chilies
8 pieces cooked and crumbled bacon
Mix eggs together in a container.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Spray ring pan lightly with vegetable spray.
Pour mixture into ringpan.
Cover with waxed paper.
Cook on HIGH for 14 minutes.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Serve with guacamole, salsa and sour cream.
Serve with hot tortillas.
BREAKFAST (OR DINNER) PIE:
1/4 cup. chopped onion
2 tbsp. chopped red or green bell peppers, optional
2 (4 oz.) pkg. frozen hash browns or 1 cup. frozen potatoes

4 sausages, fully cooked and sliced thin
In a small 9 inch microwave safe pie plate, combine onion, bell pepper and potatoes. Cover with waxed paper and microwave on high for 3 minutes or until softened. Stir.

Microwave on 70% power for 4 to 5 minutes, or until center is almost set, stirring 2 or 3 times. Let stand, covered, 3 to 5 minutes before serving. Makes 2 to 3 servings.
BACON MICROWAVE BOWL METHOD:
With this method, the bacon shrinks up away from the grease as it cooks, with the grease dripping onto the lower plate. And naturally, be careful when handling hot grease and dishes.
Place a microwave-safe bowl on a microwave-safe saucer or dish.

Microwave your bacon too! Place 2 rashers of bacon in a single layer on a micro-proof plate, cover with a piece of kitchen paper and microwave on HIGH for 1 min 30 secs.
BEAN AND CHEESE EGG BAKES:
Ingredients
•1/4 cup beans of choice (I always choose Bush's Best Beans.)
•2-3 tablespoons salsa, marinara or pizza sauce
•1/4 cup cheese of choice, shredded
•1 egg
•salt and pepper to taste
•optional: garnish with fresh or dried herbs of choice
Instructions
1.If using oven, preheat to 375°F.
2.In a ramekin lightly coated with butter or cooking spray, layer the ingredients in order of list. Or whatever order you'd like. It really doesn't matter that much as long as the egg isn't on the bottom. Add salt, pepper or other seasonings/herbs to taste.
3.For microwave:
Microwave on high for at least 60-90 seconds. You'll need to test your microwave for the proper cook time, adding an additional 30 seconds at a time. Just make sure the egg is done to your liking. I cover my ramekins sometimes with a damp paper towel or small plate to avoid splatters. Plus, it may help it cook quicker/better.
4.For oven:
Place ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes until desired doneness.
5.Again, cooking times will vary depending on your microwave or oven, and the size ramekin you use. Also, remember to have fun with this recipe, by adjusting ingredients, and amounts to your preference.

This quick and easy recipe is sure to give you that protein boost to help get your day going.
Ingredients:
•2 eggs
•2 tbls. milk
•Salt/pepper, to taste
•2 tbls. shredded cheese of your choice
Directions:
Spray the inside of a mug with non-stick cooking spray. Add eggs, milk, and cheese to the mug and whisk together. Season with salt and pepper. Microwave for 45 seconds. Stir your egg mixture and place back in the microwave to heat for an additional 30 seconds, or until set. If needed, heat for 30-second intervals until set. Fluff with a fork.

Ingredients:
• Egg beaters (99% egg whites)
• Diced bell peppers and onion
• 1/4 cup black beans
• Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. In a microwave safe bowl, combine egg whites, veggies, beans and spices.
2. Microwave covered until eggs cook to be solid. Take a fork and stir. Microwave more if needed.

Ingredients:
1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
3/4 cup milk, or as needed
1/2 cup canned pumpkin puree
1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp cinnamon sugar
Directions:
Mix oats and milk in a microwave-safe bowl. Cook on high for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring once.
Add more milk or oats to achieve the desired consistency, and cook for another 30 seconds. Stir in pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon sugar. Heat for 20 more seconds and serve.

Ingredients:
Topping
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup candy-coated peanut butter pieces
Filling
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup softened margarine or butter
2 tsp milk
2 cups powered sugar
Base
1/4 cup margarine or butter
4 cups Cocoa Puffs Brownie Crunch cereal (or something similar)
4 cups Cocoa Puffs cereal
1 bag mini marshmallows
Directions:
1. Grease a microwave safe 13×9 pan. In a large microwave safe bowl add 1/4 butter or margarine and cook until melted (approximately 30 seconds). After it is melted, add the marshmallows and coat them with the butter. Microwave on high for 1 minute and 15 seconds making sure to stir every 30 seconds.
2. Next stir in the cereals and press the entire mixture into the greased pan.
3. In a medium sized bowl add all the filling ingredients and then beat with an electric mixer until it is smooth. Spread this filling over the base you’ve pressed into the pan.
4. In a small sized bowl combine the chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of butter and microwave on high for 30 to 60 seconds. Once it is smooth, spread it over the filling layer. Next, sprinkle the peanut butter pieces on top.
5. Put the whole dish into the fridge and allow it to cool for 30 minutes before cutting into rows.

"I have been poaching eggs in the microwave for many years. For me this is the best way to prepare poached eggs for 2. It is quick, easy and almost foolproof. Please make sure you use a toothpick to pierce the yolk before cooking or it will explode!"
INGREDIENTS:
1 large egg
1/8 teaspoon white vinegar
1/3 cup water
salt and pepper
WHAT TO DO:
1.Add the water and white vinegar to a 6 ounce custard cup.
2.Break egg into cup, pierce egg yolk with toothpick, and cover dish loosely with plastic wrap.
3.Place in microwave and cook for 1 minute or until desired doneness.
4.You may need to experiment with cooking times based on the wattage of your microwave and taste preference.
5.Immediately remove egg from hot water with a slotted spoon as it will continue to cook.
6.Serve with salt and pepper to taste.
